- Yes - any solid-roof patio cover attached to the house requires a permit in Los Angeles County and most incorporated cities. Freestanding open-air pergolas below a certain size may be exempt.
- How much does an outdoor kitchen cost?
- Basic built-in grill setups start around $15,000. Fully integrated outdoor kitchens with gas, water, refrigeration, and roof cover typically run $35,000-$80,000+.
- Composite or wood decking?
- For most SoCal yards we recommend composite (Trex, TimberTech) for low maintenance and long life. Real hardwood is still the right call for shaded or covered decks where the look matters more than maintenance.
- Can you coordinate with my pool contractor?
- Yes - we regularly sequence hardscape and outdoor-living work alongside pool, landscape, and low-voltage electrical trades.
